About Buddstar

(My sona/self-insert)

This pink creature with no arms is my Homestar runner self-insert! I got into homestar runner in may of 2023, and since then its become one of my favorite things ever! Something about the design of the characters, the look, and the humor really brought me in, and so of course, with me being the cringe I am, I made ocs for it! The first one was headphones, he was actually my first self insert (kinda, he was more inspired by me really)

but then one day, I got bored and said "Hey! im really like homestar! What if i just made my self insert look like homestar?" And so buddstar was born! She was first drawn with shorter hair and a bit more wider, but the more I drew them the more the hair became longer and their body stick-like (???)

They even have a backstory! which I will tell now! (Warning you might be a bit confused if youve never seen homestar runner before, maybe you should idk...check out the website.)

In the spooky woods lived a shape-shifter named Soot. They were sad and lonely, usually spending the day sleeping and staying up too late at night. But one day, Soot saw that there was a party being hosted by the creatures who lived in the town nearby, and soot watched them. Ever since then, whenever they partied in the woods, Soot would watch, which made them really want to come down from their tree and say hello. But they were anxious that the creatures would be afraid of them if they did, so Soot hatched a plan. They based their new appearence off homestar (since they liked him a lot) with a few changes, and with the help of bubs, moved into FCUSA and now lives happily as buddstar.

God that was hard to shorten, you shouldve seen the original draft of this explantion shit was like a whole ass 4 paragraphs- anyway

Buddstar is also my sona, I usually use them to represent myself, which I think its funny, because ill draw myself with fictional characters and youll get a drawing of buddstar hanging out with melissa from Mike and Melissa lmao.

Annnnnnd thats buddstar! I love them very much, I change my sona a lot but I think buddstar will stay for a long time because of how much connection I have with her. Uh....dont be afraid to draw fanart lols...uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh-
